the band is bent out of round in several places, including just beneath one of the shoulders, none of which make it uncomfortable to wear and it could easily be reshaped by a jeweler if the shape bothers you

there's a larger area of solder inside the base of the band from a previous sizing, which corresponds to a very minor sizing seam on the exterior of the band

a true mystery is a faint, thin yellow gold seam around the round face of the signet — a solder seam?
